I'm Nazanin Marandi
I’m Nazanin Marandi, the founder and lead photographer behind Naz Photography, where I specialize in capturing life’s most meaningful milestones through timeless and emotional imagery. Photography has been my passion since childhood, and it has grown into a full-time career dedicated to preserving family memories. Since officially launching my studio in 2016, I have proudly served families across the San Francisco Bay Area, focusing on newborn, maternity, family, and milestone photography with a personalized and artistic approach.
Education, Journey & Vision
My artistic journey began long before photography became my profession. I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Climatology, which strengthened my attention to detail, patience, and analytical thinking. After immigrating to the United States in 2007, I followed my creative passion and began studying photography professionally while assisting established photographers to build hands-on experience. Over the years, my dedication to continuous learning has allowed me to refine my style and techniques. My goal for the future is to continue expanding my creativity while offering an elevated and meaningful photography experience for families.
Professional Experience & Growth
Before opening Naz Photography, I spent several years attending professional photography classes during weekdays and assisting experienced photographers on weekends. This valuable experience helped me gain technical knowledge, confidence, and a deeper understanding of client relationships. In 2016, I officially launched Naz Photography and began working independently as a head photographer. After relocating from Arizona to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2018, I expanded my services and built strong connections within the community. Today, I continue to grow my business by focusing on client comfort, creative storytelling, and delivering high-quality professional imagery.
Family Is My Inspiration
As a wife and mother of two beautiful children, I deeply understand the importance of preserving memories. My personal experiences as a parent inspire my gentle and patient approach, especially when working with newborns and young children. I treat every session as if I am capturing moments for my own family.
